Best carburetor options for an edelbrock rpm air gap intake?

So if I went with an edelbrock rpm air gap intake and used the same carb I have now. Should I expect to tune the carb differently? Taking the hooker exhaust manifolds into consideration.

Edelbrock I believe has a Performer air gap manifold, and a Performer RPM air gap. The difference being the regular performer is 1,000 - 5,500 and the RPM is 1,500 - 6,500 rpm range.
